Low stock alerts for small shops
Running out of a product costs a sale. Business POS tells everyone who works in the shop when a product is running low, so there is time to reorder.
When the alert appears
- When a product's stock falls below 5 after a sale, a refund, a void or a stock adjustment.
- Owners, managers and staff in that shop all receive the alert.
- The alert is sent once. It is sent again only if the stock goes back up to 5 or more and then falls below 5 again.
What people see
- A pop-up on the screen they are using. It stays until they press the close (X) button.
- A bell beside their name, with a number of notifications they have not read.
- A list of the last 15 days of notifications. Older ones are removed automatically.
Adjusting stock
- Open the product and choose Adjust stock, then enter the change and a reason. Use a minus sign to reduce stock.
- Every adjustment is recorded with the person who made it.
