Business POS documentation
Business POS runs your shops from one account: the till, stock, customers, expenses, reports and your team. It keeps working when the internet drops and sends every sale as soon as the shop is back online.
This guide covers the website at pos.business (your owner dashboard and purchases) and the app at app.pos.business/app (the till and the management screens). The Android app is the same program on your phone.
1. Get started
- Create your owner account. On pos.business, choose Create account. Enter your name, email and a password of at least 15 characters. No payment is needed yet.
- Choose a licence and pay. On your owner dashboard, open Buy a licence, pick a term and pay as described in section 2.
- Wait for confirmation. When we confirm your payment, your licence starts. You will see the new end date on your dashboard.
- Open your first shop. In the app, create your shop and start selling. You can add staff at any time.
To sign in later, open Sign in on pos.business, or go straight to app.pos.business/app. Tick Remember me only on a device you own.
2. Licence and payment
A licence lets you open shops and invite your team. Prices are in Myanmar kyat (MMK):
| Term | Price | Saving |
|---|---|---|
| 1 month | 20,000 MMK | — |
| 3 months | 50,000 MMK | 10,000 MMK |
| 6 months | 110,000 MMK | 10,000 MMK |
| 12 months | 200,000 MMK | 40,000 MMK |
How to pay (KBZPay): open KBZPay, tap Scan, scan the QR code on your dashboard, pay the amount for your term, and put your login email in the note. Then take a screenshot of the payment and upload it under Pay and send proof. We check it and activate your licence.
Bank transfer: the same proof upload applies.
Card payment is coming soon.
Your licence start date is the day we confirm the payment. A new term bought while a licence is still running is added after the current end date, so no days are lost.
3. Your owner dashboard
After you sign in on pos.business, the menu on the left shows:
- Overview: your licence status, days left, number of shops and team members, and a checklist for getting started.
- Shops: create and edit your shops.
- Team: add managers and staff, and change their details.
- Licence: your licence key and end date.
- Buy a licence: choose a term and send payment proof.
- Payments: the status of every payment you have sent.
- Support: chat with the Business POS team (section 13).
- Profile: your name, contact details and password.
- Open Business POS: opens the app, signed in as you.
Changes you make on the dashboard are saved at once and show in the app. The dashboard refreshes itself every few seconds.
4. Shops
To create a shop, open Shops and choose New shop. Fill in:
- Shop name, currency and time zone.
- Receipt header and receipt footer, printed on every receipt.
- Tax rate (%) and whether Prices include tax.
Choose Save shop. The change is in the app at once. To change a shop later, choose Edit shop on its card. A shop you close can be reopened from the same screen.
5. Team and roles
Open Team and choose Add team member. Enter the person's name, email, the shop they work in and their role. We give them a starting password; they choose their own the first time they sign in.
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Runs the account: all shops, team, licence and the owner reports across every shop. |
| Manager | Runs one shop: products, prices, customers, expenses, reports and the team in that shop. Can also use Support chat. |
| Staff | Sells at the till and looks up products and customers. Cannot change prices or settings. |
To stop someone signing in, set their status to Disabled or Locked. Their past sales stay on record.
6. Using the app
Open app.pos.business/app in a browser, or install the Android app (section 14). Sign in with your email and password.
- Owners choose a shop first. My shops shows the figures across every shop.
- Managers and staff go straight to their shop.
- The menu (the list icon, or the side panel on a computer) holds every screen: Dashboard, Sales history, Catalog, Customers, Suppliers, Expenses, Reports, Team members, Shop settings, Support chat and Sign out.
7. Selling at the till
- Find the product. Type its name or SKU in the search box, or scan its barcode.
- Add it to the cart. Tap the product to add one. Change the quantity in the cart.
- Choose a customer (optional) when you check out. You can add a new customer on the spot.
- Take payment. Choose a payment method, enter the amount received, and confirm. The sale is saved to the shop's history.
- Print or share the receipt. It shows the shop's header and footer. See section 8 for printers.
Every completed sale appears in Sales history, where you can look at it again.
8. Scanning and printing
Barcode scanning
- Phone camera: open the scanner from the till and point the camera at the barcode. Each scan adds one unit.
- Bluetooth scanner: pair the scanner with the phone in its settings, then set it up under the scanner setup screen. It works like a keyboard.
Receipt printers
- Bluetooth printers: pair the printer with the phone first, then choose it in the printer settings.
- Network printers: enter the printer's address on the same Wi-Fi.
- Receipts use the shop's own header and footer.
9. Selling offline and syncing
If the internet drops, keep selling. Sales are saved on the phone, in order, and sent as soon as the shop is back online. The Sync square on the home menu shows what is waiting and lets you send it now.
The till keeps a copy of your products and customers on the phone, so it can still find them while offline.
10. Products, customers, suppliers and expenses
- Catalog: add products with a name, SKU, barcode, price, category and photo. Manage categories and stock levels, and make stock adjustments.
- Customers: keep each customer's name, phone and address. Their purchases are recorded against them.
- Suppliers: keep supplier contacts with the deliveries they make.
- Expenses: record each shop cost with its date, amount and note. Staff do not see the expense list.
11. Reports
Reports are for owners and managers. Each one can be downloaded or printed as CSV or PDF.
- Sales history: every sale, with its invoice number, date, total and payment method.
- Sales and expenses by day: day-by-day totals for a shop.
- Owner reports (across shops): Report – shop wise, Report – product wise, Report by date and Sale Chart.
12. Account, password and language
Change your password
Open Profile, enter your current password, then the new one twice. The new password must be at least 15 characters. Changing it signs you out of every other app and device; the one you change it on stays signed in.
Forgot your password
- On the sign-in screen, choose Lost password? (or Forgot password) and enter your email.
- Open the reset email on your phone or computer and tap Choose a new password.
- Type a new password of at least 15 characters in both boxes, then tap Change password.
The link works once and expires after 30 minutes. If you asked for more than one, use only the newest email. Some mail apps show the link in a small window; open it in your normal browser if the page is blank.
Language
Choose မြန်မာ (Burmese) or English with the switch on the sign-in screen, or from the menu. Your choice stays on the device.
13. Support chat
Owners and managers can message the Business POS team from Support on pos.business, or Support chat in the app menu. Write your question and send it; our replies appear in the same conversation.
You are alerted with a sound and a red banner at the top of the screen when a reply arrives. Opening the chat clears the alert.
14. Installing on Android
- On your phone, open pos.business and tap Download for Android.
- Open the downloaded file. If the phone asks, allow installation from this source.
- Open Business POS and sign in with the same email and password you use on the website.
An iPhone version is coming soon.
15. Troubleshooting
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The reset page is blank or says the link is invalid. | Request a new reset email and open only the newest one. Open it in your normal browser. |
| The reset page shows the password boxes but nothing happens when you tap the button. | Use at least 15 characters, and type the same password in both boxes. The message under the button says what is wrong. |
| Sign-in fails. | Check the email and password, then use Lost password? if you are not sure. |
| The shop is locked or shows that the licence has expired. | Buy a new term on pos.business. Selling resumes once the payment is confirmed. |
| A sale is waiting to sync. | Connect to the internet and open the Sync square on the home menu. Nothing is lost while it waits. |
| The printer is not found. | Make sure it is on, paired (Bluetooth) or on the same Wi-Fi (network), then choose it again in the printer settings. |
| A barcode scanner adds nothing. | Check that it is paired, and that the scanner setup is on for it. Each scan should add one unit. |
| Anything else. | Open Support chat in the app or on your dashboard and describe what you were doing. |
