Terms of service

Version 2026-10-28 · Last updated 28 October 2026

Please read these terms carefully before you create an account. They explain what you can expect from Business POS, what we expect from you, and how disagreements are handled. By ticking the agreement box when you sign up, or by using Business POS, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy and Policies.

1. Definitions

"Business POS", "we", "us" and "our" mean the team that provides the Business POS service.

"Service" means the Business POS website at pos.business, the owner dashboard, the web app at app.pos.business, the Android app, and all related features, including the till, stock, customer, expense, report, notification, support and team features.

"Owner" means the person who creates an owner account and buys a licence.

"Shop" means a business location or business that an owner creates in the Service.

"Team member" means a manager or staff member an owner adds to a shop.

"You" means the owner, and, where the context requires, the team members that the owner adds.

"Licence" means the right to use the Service for an owner account for a chosen term.

2. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the legal capacity to enter into a business arrangement under the law that applies to you.

You must have the authority to bind the business you register, and you must act for that business when you use the Service.

Team members must be authorised by the owner. The owner is responsible for choosing team members and for their actions in the Service.

3. Creating and keeping your account

You must give accurate and complete information when you create an account, and keep it up to date.

You must keep your password and any device sign-in private. Use a password of at least 15 characters at sign-up and when you reset your password, and do not reuse it on other services.

Each person must sign in with their own account. Do not share an account or let someone else use it on your behalf.

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including what your team members do. Tell us at once if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, through Support chat, which you can open from pos.business or from the Business POS app.

We may suspend an account that we reasonably believe is being misused, or that puts the Service or other users at risk. Where we can, we will tell you why.

4. Agreement at sign-up

When you create an owner account on pos.business or in the app, you must tick a box to confirm that you have read and agree to these terms, the Privacy policy and the Policies.

We record the date and the version of these documents you agreed to. This record helps us show what you agreed to, and it is kept as described in the Privacy policy.

We may change these documents over time. We will show the new version on the website, and ask you to read it when it changes in a way that matters to you.

5. Licences and terms

A licence lets an owner account open shops and use the Service for the term bought. Terms are 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.

The price is the one shown on pos.business when you buy the licence. Prices are in Myanmar kyat unless we say otherwise.

A licence starts when we have confirmed your payment. A new term bought while a licence is still running is added after the current end date, so that no paid days are lost.

When a licence ends, the shops can no longer be used to sell, and the Service stays locked for selling until you renew. Your information is kept in line with the Privacy policy, so you can continue where you left off when you renew.

We do not give free licences, trials or extensions unless we agree to it in writing. Any extension we agree to is recorded on your account.

Refunds and cancellations are described in the Policies.

6. Payments

Licences are paid by KBZPay or by bank transfer. You upload a screenshot of your payment for us to check. We confirm each payment by hand before we activate a licence.

Card payments will be offered when they are switched on. They will be described on pos.business before you pay, and their terms will apply to them as well.

You are responsible for sending payment to the correct account, with the correct reference and your login email in the note. We cannot recover a payment sent to the wrong place, although we will try to help.

We may refuse or cancel a licence where a payment is not genuine, was made with stolen funds, or cannot be confirmed.

7. Using the Service

Use the Service only for lawful business in your shops.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the records you create, including prices, stock, sales, refunds, voids, expenses and customer details.

Give correct receipts and charge correct prices. The Service helps you keep records, but it does not replace your duty to follow the tax and accounting rules that apply to your business.

Keep your own copy of important reports, and check your records regularly.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to sell goods or services that are illegal, to deceive or defraud customers, or to falsify sales, stock, refunds or receipts.

Do not try to break, probe, scan, overload, copy or reverse-engineer the Service, or to get around the licence, the team roles or the limits we set.

Do not try to see another shop's information, or to interfere with other users.

Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, is offensive or threatening, or contains viruses or other harmful code.

If you break these rules, we may suspend or end your access, and we may report the matter to the authorities where the law requires or allows it.

9. Your customers, staff and other people

The names, phone numbers, addresses, purchase histories and other details that you enter about your customers and staff belong to you. You decide what to collect and why, and you must have a lawful basis for collecting it.

You must tell your customers and staff how you use their information, and you must respond to their requests about it. We will help you do so as described in the Privacy policy.

You must not record information about people that the law forbids you to collect.

10. Offline selling and sync

The Service lets a phone keep sales made without a connection and send them once the connection returns. Sales are kept on the phone, in the order they were made.

Sales that are still on a phone are not yet sent to the shop. If the phone is lost, damaged, reset or uninstalled before those sales are sent, they may be lost. Keep your phone safe and sync regularly, especially before you change phones.

The phone check for fingerprint or face lock is done on your phone. We do not receive or store your fingerprint or face.

11. Notifications and announcements

The Service may send in-app notifications, such as low stock alerts, and announcements from the Business POS team. Notifications are kept for 15 days and then removed automatically.

Announcements may be sent to everyone who uses the Service, or to owners, managers or staff. You are responsible for passing on any notice that concerns your shop.

12. Availability, maintenance and backups

We work to keep the Service running and secure, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

We may carry out maintenance, which may briefly stop the Service. We will try to tell you in advance when we can.

We make regular backups of the Service. Backups are not a substitute for your own records, and we do not guarantee that a particular item can be restored.

Internet, mobile and electricity services are outside our control. You are responsible for your own connection and devices.

13. Support

You can reach our team through Support chat, which you can open from pos.business or from the Business POS app. We aim to respond within a reasonable time, and we will tell you if we need more information from you.

14. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, logo, text and documentation belong to us or our licensors. We give you a limited, non-transferable right to use the Service for your business while your licence is valid.

You keep the rights to the information you enter, such as your products, prices, photographs and customer records. You allow us to store, process and display that information only to run the Service for you.

You must not copy, sell, rent, sub-license or reverse-engineer the Service.

15. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party services such as hosting, email, website delivery and security, backups, and payment providers. Their terms may also apply when you use them through the Service.

We are not responsible for the services of printers, scanners, phone manufacturers, mobile networks, banks or payment providers that you choose to use with the Service.

16. Limits of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of goodwill, or any indirect, special or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the total licence fees you paid for the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

17. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for losses that arise from your breach of these terms, your unlawful use of the Service, or content you upload that infringes someone else's rights, to the extent the law allows.

18. Ending the agreement

You may stop using the Service at any time. Before you close an account, export the reports and records you need, because access ends when the account closes.

You may ask us to close your account at any time through Support chat, which you can open from pos.business or from the Business POS app. We will close it after we have checked your request and confirmed any outstanding payments.

We may suspend or end your access immediately if you seriously breach these terms, and otherwise after telling you why and giving you a reasonable chance to put things right.

Sections that by their nature should survive the end of the agreement will do so, including liability, indemnity, governing law and the sections on information.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last change. For significant changes, we will tell owners in the app or on the website before the change applies, and you may stop using the Service if you do not agree.

20. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

If a disagreement arises, we will first try to settle it through a discussion between us in good faith, for example through Support chat. If that does not settle it, the matter will be dealt with by the competent courts of Myanmar.

21. General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

Our failure to enforce a right does not waive it.

These terms, together with the Privacy policy and the Policies, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.

22. Contact

For questions about these terms, use Support chat, which you can open from pos.business or from the Business POS app.
