Cash change and receipts at the till
When a customer pays in cash, Business POS asks how much was handed over and works out the change for you. Both figures are kept with the sale and printed on the receipt.
How the change is worked out
- The total of the bill is the amount due. For example, 3,000 MMK.
- The customer hands over 5,000 MMK. The change is 5,000 minus 3,000, which is 2,000 MMK.
- The change is never less than zero. If the cash does not cover the bill, Complete sale stays unavailable and shows how much is still to collect.
Quick amounts
- Tap the exact bill when the customer pays exactly.
- Tap the next round figure, such as 5,000 or 10,000, when the customer pays with a note.
On the receipt
- The receipt shows the cash received and the change, next to the payment.
- Receipts can be printed to a Bluetooth or network receipt printer, or saved as PDF.
Questions
Does the till work out change for card or KBZPay payments?
No. Those methods take the exact amount, so no change is needed. The cash screen only opens for cash.
What happens if the phone is offline during a cash sale?
The sale is kept on the phone with its cash figures, and the full receipt is produced once the sale reaches the shop.
